Yaser A. Metwally, M.D.

Dr. Metwally was born in Berkeley, CA. He earned his Doctor of Medicine and Residency in Orthopedic Surgery from Ain-Shams University, Cairo, Egypt where he was also ranked the first in the Master’s Degree of Orthopedic Surgery. He then went on to further pursue his General Surgery Residency PGY I-II from the University of Illinois - Metropolitan Group, Chicago, Illinois, and Orthopedic Surgery Residency PGY II-V from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. He then received his Fellowship of Reconstructive Surgery from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

"My father was a big influence on my decision to become a physician. I enjoy helping others and being a surgeon gives me a chance to do that." When not at work, Dr. Metwally enjoys golfing, fishing, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
